Sen. Sherrod Brown just asked Ms. Yellen about the “Audit the Fed” proposal. Close Fed watchers have heard most of this before, but here’s Ms. Yellen’s response:”The Federal Reserve is extensively audited,” Ms. Yellen began, and even showed a copy of Deloitte & Touche’s audit of the Fed’s books.
It's probably not that complex, anyway. Plus, Deloitte is getting way better at auditing lately. We should all feel great now.
